Enable collection of customer contact information
Collect emails and mobile phones numbers to send email marketing or text notifications to your customers.
Click Marketing at the top of your dashboard and then click General Marketing Settings. Adjust any of the settings detailed below and then click Update to save your changes.
- Enable email address and phone number collection during checkout: If a customer checks the box next to "Notify me about gallery updates and sales," their email and phone number will be stored and can be used later for notification purposes. Place an order for a gallery or prepay event and make sure the opt-in checkbox is checked when you enter the email and phone number on the checkout screen. Important: If the customer unchecks this box, their contact information will not be included in scheduled emails, email triggers, or SMS triggers.
- Store imported email addresses: If enabled, email addresses will be stored and can be used later for email marketing and notification purposes. The following import methods are supported for email address collection: DP2 Bridge, Flow, Imagematch, Spots, Drums, Timestone, or Custom XML Import
- Store imported phone numbers: If enabled, email addresses will be stored and can be used later triggered text messages for notification purchases (such as yearbook pose deadline reminders). The following import methods can store imported phone numbers: PhotoLynx Imagematch
- Image Gallery Guestbook: Select an option from the drop-down menu to enable. The Guestbook form will appear on the gallery homepage. If the guestbook is required, customers must provide an email address to view a gallery. To test, enter the email or phone number in a gallery's guestbook. You can either access a gallery where you have not yet entered the guestbook or you can open the gallery link using your web browser’s incognito or private browsing mode (so the fact that you already entered the guestbook is not remembered).
- Prepay Guestbook: Select an option from the drop-down menu to enable. The Guestbook form will appear on the prepay event homepage. If the guestbook is required, customers must provide an email address to view a gallery. To test, enter the email or phone number in a prepay event's guestbook. You can either access an event where you have not yet entered the guestbook or you can open the event link using your web browser’s incognito or private browsing mode (so the fact that you already entered the guestbook is not remembered).
- Show Additional Trigger Dates: Show more trigger dates on the folder, gallery, prepay event edit screens. This is useful for studios who want to set up automated triggered marketing messages for several different types of photography. For example, a studio that wants to send separate sets of automated triggered messages for underclass, seniors, and sports would enable the "Show Additional Trigger Dates" feature.
