Custom Digital Delivery

Photographers can easily send customized digital downloads to customers using SimplePhoto's Custom Digital Delivery feature. After finalizing work in Photoshop or your tool of choice, upload and send the digital file via text and email. Some examples of digital products include retouched images, personalized images with name and year, images with backgrounds and foregrounds, class composites, multi-pose collages, holiday-themed images, images with added school/sport logo, magazine covers, memory mates, coloring pages to print from home, and more!

Custom Digital Delivery can be sent in multiple ways

  • Standalone digital delivery: Click the Send Digital Download button inside the Galleries pane on your Dashboard or inside the Folder Control Panel. A new "Digital Delivery" gallery will be generated and your account's Default Custom Digital Delivery Price List will be associated. When a customer clicks on the "Purchase More Prints" button in the digital download gallery link sent via text message, they will be directed to the newly created gallery.
    • When the Send Digital Download button on the Dashboard is used to send a standalone digital delivery, the generated gallery will be added to a new "Digital Delivery" folder. 
    • When the Send Digital Download button on the Folder Control Panel is used to send a standalone digital delivery, the generated gallery will be added to that folder.
    • The Standalone Default Custom Digital Delivery Price List can be adjusted inside the Price List Settings screen.
  • Digital delivery tied to an existing gallery or prepay event: Click the Send Digital Download button inside the Gallery Control Panel or Event Control Panel. No "Digital Delivery" gallery is generated in this case.  When a customer clicks on the "Purchase More Prints" button in the digital download gallery link sent via text message, they will be directed to the selected gallery.
  • Digital delivery tied to an existing order: Click the Upload images and send digital delivery button inside an order receipt. No "Digital Delivery" gallery is generated in this case. The customer name, email address, and phone number will be pre-populated in the digital download upload form. When a customer clicks on the "Purchase More Prints" button in the digital download gallery link sent via text message, they will be directed to the gallery associated with the selected order.

Pricing

SimplePhoto’s Custom Digital Delivery is available to all Premium members at no additional charge. 

For members on our Lite or Pro membership plan, the first 100 Custom Digital Deliveries per month are free. Custom Digital Deliveries past the first 100 that are not related to a SimplePhoto order cost $1 per digital delivery (Lite or Pro members only).

Enable the Custom Digital Delivery feature

Check the box next to  Custom Digital Delivery inside the Gallery & Prepay Settings screen.

To view details about the digital deliveries sent using the Custom Digital Delivery feature, click on the  Custom Digital Deliveries link in the Reports tab. The contents of the digital download email will be included in the details for each digital download.

Use-case Instructions: Retouched Digital Downloads

Use the Self-Fulfilled Orders Report to help manage orders containing retouched digital downloads.

  1. Setup "Retouched Digital File" products as self-fulfilled products. See our help document about self-fulfilled products.
  2. Enable the Self-Fulfilled Orders Report Feature setting in the Photographer Information settings screen.
  3. As retouched digital download orders are placed, they will be added to the Orders containing self-fulfilled products report in the Reports tab.
  4. In the Orders containing self-fulfilled products report, click on an order ID link to open a retouched digital download order.

Send a digital delivery for retouched images

  1. Open an order receipt (using either the Orders report or the Orders containing self-fulfilled products report).
  2. If you'd like to access high-resolution images stored in SimplePhoto for the gallery associated with the retouched digital download order, click the View image download links for gallery button.
  3. Click on the Upload images and send digital delivery button to view the retouched digital file upload screen. You will see the customer name, email, and/or mobile phone number pre-populated on the screen. You can edit these values if necessary.
  4. Click on the Select Images button and locate the retouched photos you'd like to upload or drag and drop the images into the uploader.
  5. Click on the Upload button. Immediately after the upload is complete, the digital download email and/or text message will be sent.
  6. In the Orders containing self-fulfilled products report, the "Completed" checkbox will be checked when the digital delivery is sent.
  7. When a customer clicks on the Purchase More Prints button in the digital download gallery link sent via text message, they will be directed to the gallery associated with the original order. 

Please Note: Images will not be resized unless their long sides are greater than 10,000 pixels.
