Abandoned Cart Marketing

The “Abandoned Cart Marketing” settings screen is used to help studios set up automated email messages to customers who add items to their cart but do not complete the checkout process.

Abandoned cart email messages will be sent to email addresses that access a gallery or event via gallery notification links, triggered email links, scheduled email links or email addresses entered in the guestbook form.

How to quickly enable one of the pre-built abandoned cart email templates

  1. Log into your SimplePhoto account and click the Marketing link at the top of your Dashboard. If you haven’t set up your account to collect emails when customers access a gallery or prepay event, first see this help file to enable the guestbook feature and then proceed to Step 2, below.
  2. Click the Abandoned Cart Emails link.
  3. Click the Edit button underneath either the “1 Hour After” or “1 Day After” pre-built abandoned cart email settings.
  4. Check the Enabled checkbox.
  5. Click Save.

How to set up new customized abandoned cart email

  1. Log into your SimplePhoto account and click the Marketing link at the top of your Dashboard. If you haven’t set up your account to collect emails, first see this help file to enable and then proceed to Step 2, below.
  2. Click the Abandoned Cart Emails link.
  3. Click the Add button towards the bottom of the page.
  4. Enter an identifiable name in the Label field for the new abandoned cart email such as “Two Hours After” or “Ten Days After”.
  5. Determine the number of days you would like the email to be sent out after a customer has abandoned the checkout process. If you would like the email to be sent out the same day, set this number to “0”.
  6. Determine the number of hours you would like the email to be sent out after a customer has abandoned the checkout process. The number of hours will be added to the number of days in determining when abandoned cart email messages will be sent.
  7. Select an existing Email Template for the new abandoned cart email. You can use the default abandoned cart email template provided for you or you can create your own. To manage your email templates, please see our help file for setting up Email Templates.
  8. If you would like this abandoned cart email to be enabled immediately, check the Enabled checkbox.
  9. Click Save when finished.
