Migrate galleries and images from Simplephoto to Blueprint

Any Simplephoto customer with a Blueprint account can have gallery data and images migrated from Simplephoto to Blueprint. Specific Simplephoto folders can be migrated, or folders uploaded within the last several months or year can be migrated.

To begin the migration process, the Simplephoto support team will need to take action to associate your Simplephoto account with your Blueprint account. Then, you will have the ability to adjust the migration settings outlined below and initiate the migration process.

Fields added to Simplephoto for gallery migration

Several new fields have been added to Simplephoto to facilitate the migration of galleries to Blueprint.

Simplephoto Account fields:

These fields appear in the Integration Settings screen on the Simplephoto Dashboard.

Blueprint Account ID

Blueprint account matching the Simplephoto account. Only Simplephoto support team members are able to adjust this value.

Default Blueprint Price Sheet ID

Blueprint price sheet assigned to all new jobs. This value can be overridden for specific Simplephoto price lists using the “Blueprint Price Sheet ID” setting in the Simplephoto price list edit screen.

Blueprint Cart Template ID

Cart template associated to all new Blueprint Jobs created during the migration

Blueprint Job Type

Blueprint Job Type assigned to new Blueprint Jobs created during the migration. This value can be overriden for a Simplephoto price list.

Simplephoto Price List fields:

The settings below can be used to control the price sheet and job type for jobs associated with a Simplephoto price list. Since Simplephoto allows different price lists to be assigned to galleries inside a folder and only one price sheet can be assigned to a job in Blueprint, the migration system will determine which price list is associated with the most galleries in a folder to determine which price list to use for the price sheet and job type.

Blueprint Price Sheet ID

Identifies the Blueprint price sheet mapped to a Simplephoto price list.

Blueprint Job Type

Identifies the Blueprint job type related to this price list.

Blueprint Subject Type

Identifies the Blueprint Subject Type for galleries associated with this price list.

Migration process details

When a Simplephoto “Folder” is migrated, a Blueprint “Job” will be created.

Each Simplephoto “Gallery” inside a folder will be added as a “Subject” in the Blueprint Job.

Simplephoto folders queued for migration will be migrated to Blueprint during non-peak hours. We expect that most jobs will complete the migration process within 24 hours.

Only galleries with high resolution images will be migrated to Blueprint. If you would like watermarked low resolution images to be migrated to Blueprint, please speak with your Blueprint support representative.

Since Simplephoto allows folders to be nested inside other folders, the name of a Job added to Blueprint might need to be adjusted. Please contact Blueprint support if you need the names of some Simplephoto parent folders to be included when constructing Blueprint Job names.

It is possible for more than one Simplephoto account to have the same Blueprint account ID, for cases where jobs from multiple Simplephoto accounts are being migrated to one Blueprint account.

How to initiate folder migration

To initiate the migration of images and gallery data from Simplephoto to Blueprint, click the Start Gallery Data Migration link in the “Galleries” pane on the Simplephoto Dashboard. You will first set a “Gallery upload start date” to determine how far back to upload galleries. You can choose a start date as early as Jan 1, 2023. If you need to upload a large number of folders uploaded before Jan 1 2023, please contact our support team.

Alternatively, you can navigate to a specific folder in the Simplephoto Photographer Control Panel using the “Galleries” tab and click the Migrate folder to Blueprint button at the bottom of the list of galleries within a folder.

When gallery migration has been initiated, you can use the Gallery Data Migration Status link on the Simplephoto Dashboard to check the status of folders being migrated to Blueprint.
