Using the Group Photo Filter

The Group Photo Filter can be used to distinguish individual photos from group photos in the shopping cart. You can set certain products to only be available if a group photo is selected and vice versa (only certain products can be purchased if an individual photo is selected).

Important: Our Group Photo Filter feature is disabled for each account by default. If you are interested in using this feature, please contact the Simplephoto Support team.

Uploading images using the Group Photo Filter

Once the Group Photo Filter has been enabled for your account, you will need to ensure your images are properly set up to be recognized as Group Photos by our system.

  1. Images with 'group' in the image filename will be considered group photos. (Ex. "IMG1234_group")
    1. If you would prefer another keyword be used, such as "class", "team", "buddy", etc., please alert the Simplephoto Support team so they can make the necessary changes. Note that whatever keyword(s) are used will be used account-wide, so choose a keyword(s) that you plan to use across multiple jobs.
  2. Once all group images have been properly named, upload the images as usual. See our Image Uploading help files for additional assistance.

Group Photo Filter Price List Setup

  • Product Categories (tabs) with 'group,' 'team', or 'class' in the name are considered group photo only. All items within these categories will only be available if a group image is selected. See our Product Category help file for additional assistance.
    • These will be the only categories shown for group photos, and these categories will be hidden for individual photos.
    • The keyword 'group,' 'team', or 'class' must be added to the text for the category and not the label.
  • For specific Threshold, Composite, and Package products, the keywords 'group,' 'team', or 'class' must be in the name in order to only allow group photos as the pose. Other products without these keywords will only allow individual photos. See our Build a Price List category of help files for additional assistance in setting up these products.

Please note: The group photo filter does not work for group images that are included in a composite product inside a fixed or build-your-own package.
